Stage 6 · Phase 2
NURA: the environment that learns to welcome more people.
The sixth stage brings together design, architecture and construction of new adaptive spaces. It comes when there is space, budget and demand, on a base that has already changed.
In developmentBrand architecture
NURA
The infrastructure that makes environments able to respond to human variability.
NURA Kit
The tools: portable support available anywhere in a venue. Available today.
NURA Calibration
A person-led discovery of the conditions that work best for them in a given context. Not a diagnosis.
Adaptive Profile
Context-based preferences the person can view, edit, take with them or delete.
NURA Base
The adaptive space: an area, a support point, a lower-stimulation route. Always voluntary.
Responsive Environment
The end goal: what is learned improves the experience across the whole environment.
Red line
NURA Base is never disciplinary.
- Never a punishment, reward or detention.
- Never ‘send him to the NURA’.
- Never a condition for rejoining the others.
If a person cannot choose to leave, it is isolation, and it is unacceptable.
Public principle
NURA is not where people go when they do not fit in.
NURA helps the environment welcome more people.
No emotion recognition by camera, microphone or biometrics. Sensors in the space, never on the person.
